Aldon Performance Distributors
Aldon have been successfully modifying distributors for
many years. Aldon are now probably the only people in the UK, if not the
world who specialise in this type of work.
Aldon have been an O.E. supplier of X/Flow distributors to Caterham Cars
for many years. Aldon also supply their distributors to many of the Mini
and MG specialists throughout the UK and worldwide. Aldon have customers
throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and America.
Aldon Distributors are made in the UK from original Lucas distributor
castings.
Aldon performance distributors are supplied brand new with a modified
advance curve to suit the engine specification. All Aldon distributor
advance curves have been developed on our rolling road and engine dynomometer.
Another option is for the customers own unit to be sent to Aldon for them
to modify the advance curve in that. Specials and one-offs are catered
for and many obsolete units can be rebuilt and modified.

Aldon’s range caters for ‘A’ series, ‘B’
series, Ford X/Flow, Ford Twin cam, Jaguar and Triumph.
The modification of the advance curve is dependant on;
1. What carburettor(s) is being used ?
2. Which camshafts are fitted ?
3. Compression ration of the engine ?
4. What the car will be used for ?
