EBC –General Replacement Pads

EBC black coded brake pads are a high friction premium quality friction material approved to ECE R90 brake safety regulations and as such are an exact equivalent to original equipment pads fitted to your vehicle from the factory.

Greenstuff – Premium Street 2000 series

There have been many versions of this fabulous brake compound over the 7 years that it has existed but the latest formulation AF44/78 is surely one of the finest performance brake compounds ever to be sold plus has the benefits of being a low dust material.

Redstuff – Street use on highly tuned cars

Since this material was introduced in late 2003, it has received many positive write ups from performance drivers of faster cars such as the Impreza. This is a truly impressive fast road pad for repeated heavy braking. It emits far less dust than semi-metallic pads and has been proven to stop a saloon car 13 metres quicker than OEM pads from 100mph.*

*Stopping tests were done on a closed racetrack at the MIRA research facility and not on the public highway.

EBC Sport Discs, Dimples and Slotted

EBC's unique aperture slots actually pull cool air under the pad surface and help pad and disc cooling. EBC's ‘Blind Drilled' dimples help break down surface gases but do not promote cracking, which has been shown to occur with ‘Through Drilled' discs.

A unique feature of the EBC disc is that the slots extend completely to the outer edge of the disc, which allows any dirt, dust gases, grit or debris from heavy braking to exit the pad braking area. This ensures flat and parallel wear of the pads throughout their wear life and use.

All EBC sport discs are gold zinc anodised to prevent the discs from corrosion in areas not swept by the brake pad. Optimum brake performance is realised after the zinc coating has been removed from the pad track area, which can take up to 200 miles. It is normal that a small amount of noise is exhibited from EBC slotted rotors when they are first applied. This noise gradually diminishes and at around 1,000 miles of road use the noise will be minimal. By nature of the way this product works, EBC sport slotted discs will always make ‘some' noise and this is not cause for concern, it is not a safety issue and is not covered by warranty.
